My husband went to the cabin to go fishing for the weekend, so I went to church by myself. It was the Day of Pentecost, so the Pastor preached about getting baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
He explained everything about the Day of Pentecost with verses out of the Bible which makes it perfectly clear that it is a command.
He talked about how he was a powerless Christian until he got his prayer language. He explained the five-fold ministry and said everyone is supposed to lay hands on people. Healing is for today, as well as prophecy and speaking in tongues.
He gave the invitation to come forward if you want to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
I passed up my chance at the women's conference and I was not going to pass it up again.
I went forward and the Pastor dismissed everyone from the service. The Pastor's wife laid hands on me and prayed for me to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
It didn't take long and I was speaking another language.
I was so excited, I prayed in tongues on the way home from church. When I got home I sat on the sofa and prayed in tongues for about an hour.
