Creflo Dollar - Women's Conference 2001 (Part 1)

Pray in your most Holy faith.

My youngest sister and I decided to attend a Women's conference I saw advertised on TV, while watching Changing Your World by Creflo Dollar. We drove from PA down to Atlanta, Ga with a loaf of bread, a pound of bologna, a credit card for gas and hotel, and faith that somehow we would find what was missing in our lives.
I ordered the free tickets online, but there was no time to get them, because this was a last minute decision to go. We got down there and had to wait in a "faith line", because all the people with real tickets got to go in first.
We got to go in, and we met some wonderful women from all over the world. Pastor Dollar told the women to "pray in their most Holy faith", and I was amazed at the sound of thousands of women speaking in tongues. This was all so new to me.
I was raised believing "tongues were from the devil." "You don't know what you are saying." "You could be worshiping Satan." Nothing could be further from the truth. I started realizing I was deceived all those years, and yet even though I wanted to do what they were doing, I did not go forward when an invitation to get "baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues" was given at the end of each service.
By the last service I was convinced it was real, it was Biblical, it was commanded by and I did want it. I was going to go forward at the end of that service. To my disappointment, they closed the last service without an invitation. I went home wishing I would have went forward when I has a chance.
I did not know that I could have talked to anyone that speaks in tongues and they could have helped me get baptized in the Spirit. My sister bought a 6 tape set by one of the speakers, Laura Pickett. It was "Why We Speak In Tongues."
I listened to it several times on the way home. When I got home, I got a notebook and listened to the tapes and took notes. I highlighted verses in my Bible. I knew it was really important and I became angry that my church misled me for so many years. It was right in the Bible. How could I have missed it for so many years?

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
Jude 1:20

Jude was written after Jesus died. Jude was not an apostle. Even though he was a half brother to Jesus, Jude didn't even believe in Jesus until after he was crucified and rose from the dead. So if tongues were just for the apostles, why was he writing to everyone to pray in the Holy Ghost?. This verse throws their argument right out the window.
I started wondering what these religious church leaders do with that verse. Do they cross it out of the Bible or are they so blinded by their religion they just don't see it? I guess I never saw it until I "saw it." I see it now. I have chosen to believe 100% of the Bible.
Pray in your most Holy faith!
