Creflo Dollar Women's Conference (Part 2)

That something missing was the Holy Spirit.

Remember the bread, bologna and hope to find something missing in our lives? I didn't know it then, but that something missing was the Holy Spirit. But even though I knew what I knew it was still not enough.
I must share how wonderful the women were at the church. After it was over the first night, we were standing in line waiting for the shuttle to get back to our car. We were talking about going to look for a hotel that night. A lady overheard us and told us we could stay at her home. We turned her down. A few minutes later another women welcomed us to her home. My sister didn't want to stay with a stranger so we turned her down also. A third women told us she would take us home with her. We told her no, also. She gave us her phone number and told us if we couldn't find a hotel to call her. Then she told us if we did find a room to call her anyway, because she wanted to take us out for breakfast.
We tried a few hotels, all booked. I told my sister one more and then I am calling her. We did get in the next hotel. I called her and she picked us up in the morning. She took us to breakfast and told us to order whatever we wanted. We had a nice breakfast and she taught us a lot about her faith walk since she joined that church.
On the way to the church she stopped at the bank and got some money. When we got to the church, she asked me how much our hotel was. I told her $49 a night. She handed me $100. She told me "the Lord told me to pay for your hotel." Then she gave me $40 and told me she was to pay for the luncheon at the church. Then she handed me $60 and told me she was supposed to pay for the tapes for the weekend, so we could take them home and share them with people.

We went in and she got us good seats. She took care of us all weekend. She drove us back and forth to the hotel so we wouldn't have to drive and get shuttled from the parking lot. She talked a lot about her "faith walk" while she was driving and standing in line.
When the weekend was over, she gave us a handful of tapes to listen to on the way home. We were so blessed by her hospitality. She was not a wealthy person. She had a family, a new business, and everyday problems in life. But she was an example of "faith in action." She knew if she helped someone, God would tell someone to bless her. She wasn't doing it for that reason, she was being obedient to what the Holy Spirit told her to do.
I knew nothing about hearing the "voice of God." All I knew was that we went down to GA with no money, and came back with some money in our pockets and a lot of faith. Oh, the church luncheon was sold out, so we went to a place that had all you could eat catfish, fries, and hush puppies for about $5 a person.
We ate until we were full and still had more money than when we started. It sure was a whole lot better than a bologna sandwich. I not only saw faith in action, I saw something that was missing in my life.

That something missing was the Holy Spirit.
