I have been Forever Set Free!
I grew up in a very fundamental church. I was saved at a young age. I knew if I died I would go to Heaven, because I asked Jesus to come into my heart and wash away my sin. He became my Savior and Lord. The church taught that there was a Holy Spirit, but His power was for the apostles only. After being married 24 years, and going through several church splits with fundamentals churches, I finally visited a "free" church. I got hooked on the worship and started attending. My husband and I started going to church together, growing spiritually, more in a few months than in over 20 years.
I grew up to be a very powerless Christian, struggling with depression, suicide, poverty, guilt, bitterness, anger, hate, etc, even in my adult years. After my dad committed suicide by laying down in front of a train in 2000, I went through depression, not because of his death, but because something was transferred in the spirit from him to me. I didn't understand it at the time, but after going through many hours of prayer counseling over the past few years, it is so clear to me now.
Our families ancestors were involved in "stuff", and it says in the Bible , that the sins of men will be carried over for 4 generations. During prayer counseling, many things have been revealed to my prayer team about generational curses that were put on our families. They have been broken, and I have been forever set free.
We have been going to a "free" church for over 6 years. Our lives have drastically changed. Our marriage is better now than it has ever been. We are starting to see others in our family get set free. One by one, but I am believing we will see them all set free.
